A tall high yielding soup pea with excellent sweet flavour, about 2.5m high.To make the traditional Latvian Christmas dish, Zirņi ar speķi", soak some peas over night and then boil until they are soft but still holding their shape, fry some bacon bits with onion, and serve - either mixed or separately.
