This is a hulless two rowed spring barley, originally from Ethiopia. It has over 16% protein, which is huge! It has a rich nutty flavour, and because it is hulless it can be used directly in soups and stews, or ground into flour. It is sown in spring and grows quickly. It is only about 60cm high. It needs to be watched closely as it ripens, as it is very attractive to birds, and once they find it they will quickly eat it all. Approximately 150 seeds per packet
