Much easier to grow than normal celery, it is very hardy outdoors and adds lots of flavour to both raw and cooked dishes. The red-stemmed type was commonly grown in Northern Ireland in the past and we were asked to find it by someone who remembers it. The seed is easy to harvest and makes a great flavouring too.
