View side shoots removed
Side shoots appear in the leaf axels of tomato plants and cause the plant to branch and go all over the place. To remove side shoots from tomatoes rub them away while they are about 1cm long. If they get bigger break them off carefully or you may rip off the stem covering of the plant encouraging diseases to enter.
